    Public affairs management of South-Central University for Nationalities is established when the establishment of the management school in 2000.In 2011 the department successfully declare as "university brand specialty”. Its aim is to train talents for management of public institutions and administrative departments, various intermediaries, for different types of social organizations, for the enterprise unit of administrative departments, the focus on public human resource management talent.

    Since the department of public affairs management has been established, the formation of the knowledge structure, professional title structure, age structure is more reasonable, higher education level of Teachers. The department is consisted of academic leaders, teachers and professional teachers. The department is consisted of 8 full-time teachers (including 6 Postgraduate Tutors), all have doctoral degree, including 3 professors, 2 associate professors, 3 lecturers.

    Since the department of public affairs management has been established, it has gradually formed the subject characteristics and advantages, in particular, has made remarkable achievements in national area of public affairs management. In the past five years, the department has undertaken one Key National Social Science Fund Project, three projects sponsored by National Social Science Foundation, two projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation, ten more provincial fund projects. Teachers in this department also has published five academic monographs, more than 50 papers published in CSSCI and authoritative journal, got the provincial or ministerial awards more than five times. These academic achievements provide theoretical support for economic and social development in ethnic areas.
