Yi Lixin, deputy secretary of the school Party Committee and dean of SFL, made a report on the school’s achievements and issues in education, teaching and faculty cultivation. Dai Yingfeng, secretary of the school Party Committee, reported on how to explore a new working method on party work which stresses on fostering students’ virtue through education. Other school leaders also discussed on questions including public English teaching, English major teaching, and scientific research. After hearing the reports, Mr. Du talked about the major issues and offered his advice.

He encouraged everyone in foreign language school to work hard, making it both a habit and a lifestyle. He also required teachers to strengthen their political literacy, teaching and learning abilities, and innovative thinking. We, as learners and researchers of humanities, should follow the country’s strategic demand and make more contributions to enhance our service for the Party in governing our country. It’s also imperative to exchange and communicate with other universities both at home and abroad to broaden our views and enhance our reputation and influence. We need to arrange our work systematically and achieve more things at one stroke. At last, he hoped all faculty of the School of Foreign Languages would work together to gain new achievements under the leadership of a new group.
