The Korean Department begins to enroll students in Sep. 2012. At present there are around 30 full-time students majoring in Korean Language and Literature on the campus. The teaching staff includes 4 teachers, among whom 2 are of Korean nationality and 2 Han nationality. Three teachers have obtained their doctoral degrees, and one is a doctoral candidate. To ensure the educational quality, we have invited one teacher from Korean for the teaching program. There are about 300 Korean books in the library of the SFL and 500 Korean books in the library of the university.

 

The program enrolls students who take the 4-year undergraduate program at SCUN. At present we enroll 30 students each year. In the near future, we plan to set up the postgraduate program for MTI (Masters of Translation and Interpretation). The program aims at cultivating talents who are qualified to work in various works of life, such as the foreign affairs, trade, culture, journalism, education, scientific research, tourism. At the school, the students take fundamental courses for their language competence in the first two years, and advanced courses to improve their comprehensive quality in the later two years. To guarantee the educational quality, we organize students to take active part in the cultural events such as the Korean Culture Week, Korean Cultural Exhibition and various lectures, which set up a true language environment for the students and thus arouse their interest in Korean language and Korean culture. We have also set up the “1+4” or “2+2” joint programs with some Korean universities such as the Chonbuk National University, Kyung Hee University, Chonnam National University, and Pai Chai University, etc., through which students are sent abroad for studies.

 

Teachers in the department attach importance to the academic studies, which are mostly oriented towards Korean language, culture, literature and cross-cultural communication. Since the establishment of the Korean Culture Research Institute in 2012, the teachers actively cooperate with research institutes at home and abroad, and make outstanding achievements in the academic research.

 

We provide convenient teaching equipments and comfortable environment for the students in their lives and studies at SCUN.

 

중남민족대학교에서는2011년에 한국어학과 설립을 신청하여 2012년9월에 한국어학과가 정식으로 설립되었습니다. 현재 한국어학과의 재학생은 약 30명이 되며 전임교사 다섯 명이 재직하고 있습니다. 그 중교환교사가 한 명, 조선족교사가 두 명, 한족교사가 두 명입니다. 학력 층면에서 보면 박사학위를 취득한 교사가 세 명, 박사과정에 재학중인 교사가 한 명입니다. 현재 외국어대학 자료실에서는 한국어 도서를 300여 권, 학교 도서관에서는 500여 권을 소장하고 있습니다.

 

한국어학과에서는 매년30명 정도의 학생을 모집할 예정이며 각 방면의 조건이 구비되면 MTI 번역학과 (석사과정)를 신청할 계획입니다. 한국어학과를 졸업한 학생들이 장래 외교, 경제, 무역, 문화, 출판, 교육, 과학 연구, 관광 및 번역 등 다양한 분야에서 활약할 수 있도록 , 저학년에서는 주로 기초언어교육을 받고 고학년에서는 학생들의 시야를 넗히고 언어 실용성을 높이기 위한 전문적인 교육을 받습니다. 그리고 한국어동아리, 한국문화체험, 한국문화공연, 한국어 및 한국문화강좌 등 다양한 학습활동을 통한 종합적인 언어능력 향상에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 또한 학생들이 한국어와 한국문화를 한층 더 깊게 이해할 수 있게끔 생생한 언어환경과 다양한 문화체험을 할 수 있는 기회도 제공하고 있습니다. 그리고 중남민족대학교에서 선후 국립전북대학교(1999), 경희대학교(2002), 국립전남대학교(2003), 배재대학교(2004) 등 학교와 자매결연을 맺고 “1+4”、“2+2”등 교학방식을 채택함으로써 많은 한국어학과 학생들이 한국으로 유학, 연수 뿐만 아니라 나아가서 석사,박사 공부도 할 수 있게 되었습니다.

 

또한 한국어학과 전임교사들의 연구과제는 다양하며 연구 영역도 광범위합니다. 주로 한국어학, 한국문학, 한국문화, 한국사회학 등 여러분야에 걸쳐 연구활동을 하고 있습니다. 2012년에 한국문화연구소가 외국어대학에 자리를 잡으면서 한국어학과 선생님들은 학술활동에 적극적으로 참여하고 학술프로젝트를 신청하고 학술연구논문을 작성하는 등 연구사업에도 몰두하고 있습니다. 그리고 국내외 학술회의에 적극적으로 참석하여 국내외 대학 및 연구센터와의 우호관계를 돈독히 함으로써 효과적인 한국어교수법을 개발하고 수업의 질적 향상을 도모하기 위하여 지속적으로 노력하고 있습니다.

 

한국어학과에는 아담한 교육 및 학습환경, 최신의 교학설비를 갖춘 언어교실과 대량적인 연구자료가 소장되어 있는 자료실도 있습니다. 이러한 환경은 선생님들의 연구활동뿐만아니라 학생들의 학습활동에도 많은 도움이 되고 있습니다.
