Founded in 2002, Japanese Department has witnessed rapid development in the past years. At present, the teaching staff includes 11 teachers, among whom 5 are associate professors. Meantime, we invite 2 teachers from Japan for the teaching programs.

 

There are around 200 undergraduate students on campus at present. They take fundamental courses for their language competence in the first two years, and advanced courses to improve their comprehensive quality in the later two years. The curriculum is scientifically designed, and courses well arranged. With the progress in the past years, we are making efforts to gain approval for MA degrees.

 

Teachers in the department are gifted professionals who dedicate themselves to their teaching career. In addition to the classroom teaching, we attach importance to the extracurricular teaching. In cooperation with the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, SCUN and Japanese Embassy, we organize students to take active part in the cultural events such as the Japanese Culture Week. In the past years, we have invited many prestigious scholars from Rikkyo University and Osaka University, etc. to give lectures to the students and the teaching staff. Meanwhile, we have established the partner relation with Nippon Bunri University, with whom we have exchanged students for short-term study since 2008. In the year 2013, we have established the partner relationship with Osaka University.

 

Teachers in the department attach importance to the academic studies, which are mostly oriented towards Japanese language teaching and cross-cultural communication. They actively cooperate with research institutes at home and abroad, and make outstanding achievements in the past years.

We provide convenient teaching equipments and comfortable environment for the students in their lives and studies at SCUN.

 

 

日本語学科

外国語学部日本語学科は、２００２年に創立されました。現在、専任教師は１１名で、その内訳は副教授５名、講師６名です。また本学科では長年にわたって日本人教師２名を教学の担当として招聘しています。

本学科では毎年２つクラスの学部生を募集し、現在本学科にはクラス８つあり、学部生２００名余りいます。一、二年生においては主に言語能力の育成を、三、四年生においては学生の視野拡大と言語能力の総合的な向上を中心に、合理的に教学計画を策定している。本学科は科学的に課程の設置、教学改革及び学科の発展を目指し、教学のレベルの向上に向けて着実に進めています。日本語学科は外国語学部における外国語言語学および応用言語学の一級学科に基づき、修士課程設置の資格認定に対し、積極的に準備を取り込んでいます。

本学科の教師たちは、みな職責を尽くし、「知識を教え、人を育てる」という方針を常に徹底する。外事弁や日本大使館と連携し日本文化週などの活動を開催、立教大学や大阪大学といった名校の諸教授を頼み、日本文化についての講演会の展開など、教育現場での授業に力を注ぐとともに、学生のために「第二クラス」の活動を展開しています。同時に、本校は日本文理大学と友好交流関係を結び、２００８年度から毎年学生の日本短期留学を行うことになっています。また、広島大学とも友好関係を結び、今年度から様々な交流活動を行うことになります。

教師たちは、学術的活動を積極的に展開し課題を先頭事業に、日本語教育及び異文化交流を着眼点にし、国内外諸大学の研究機構との交流や協力を強化しています。それに、研究プロジェクトを積極的に展開し、学術論文を数多く発表しています。

本学科には、優雅な教育環境と、現代化の教学施設があります。また、ＬＬ教室や資料室などは、学生と教師たちの勉強や研究に、便利な環境と条件を提供しています。
