Recently, the results achieved by our students in a series of competitions in the 2020 "FLTRP·ETIC Cup" were announced. Before that, the coaching staff of our school maintained good communication with contestants during the event with timely relevant information and targeted counseling given to them, while students have employed all their strength to prepared themselves for contests.

In the writing contest, Geng Wei, a student of our school, won the school-level special award and 4 students including He Wenhui won the school-level first prize, with 9 students won the school-level second prize and 9 students won the school-level third prize. In the reading contest, Huang Xuanyu, a student of class of 2018 in our college, won the school-level special prize, with 15 students including Deng Yuying won the school-level first prize, 12 students won the school-level second prize and 19 students won the school-level third prize. " FLTRP·ETIC Cup " Reading Contest in Hubei Province held by China University of Geosciences.

On November 8^th, 2020 National English Speech Contest (Hubei Region Final) of "FLTRP·ETIC Cup", currently the most authoritative, professional and influential English speech contest in China, came to an end in Jianghan University. Before a total of 21 college teams competed for the final round in Hubei province, there are preliminary rounds in each university and the second selection of Hubei province. Wang Zheng, a student of class 2019 in our college, participated in the competition with the help of the coaching staff, Ms. Feng Yanling and Ms. Wang Hongwei. He impressed the judges and the audience with his fluent expression and witty response through three stages of presentation and wrapped up the first prize of the provincial competition.

The competitions presented us all the positive learning attitude and English proficiency of our students; at the same time, the excellent results of the competitions spoke volume about the conducive effect of our teaching and the achievement of teaching and learning promoted by competition.
