The Fourth Reading Meeting of the Administrative Management Major

  On the afternoon of November 25th, the fourth reading meeting of the administrative management major was successfully held in the 818 meeting room of the 15th teaching building. The bibliography discussed in this book meeting is Country China by Mr.Fei Xiaotong. Teacher Fang Fujian, Zhang Xinyu, Yang Fang, Hu Chengqian, Fang Gege, Li Junru, Xiong Rujia, Gao Lanxin, Lan Lan and Yang Feifei participated in this book club. The reading meeting was hosted by Zhang Xinyu and the speakers were Yang Fang and Hu Chengqian.

     First of all, Yang Fang shared his thoughts after reading. Among them, for the question Why haven't the surnames and language in the village changed much for hundreds of years?, she explained that: the villagers rely on the land to survive, forming a repetitive, stable, contented, self-sufficient living state, and a farming civilization. To continue, in the society of acquaintances, the rule of ritual order is mainly ruled by law. And explained to us the definition of the difference sequence pattern, that is, the difference sequence pattern occurs in kinship and geographic relations. It is pushed like a water ripple with oneself as the center, and the farther and farther it is pushed, the thinner and more flexible it is. The social structure of being able to collect, stretch and shrink, and it produces different circles with the changes in time and space. In the end, she expressed some thoughts. She believes that the society of acquaintances knows the bottom line, distant relatives are not as good as close neighbors. She also mentioned that urban and rural development should retain the characteristics of rural development, speed up rural revitalization, and let cities drive rural development.   At the end of the reading meeting, Teacher Fang Fujian shared his thoughts and summary to us from the following points. The first point is that the book Country China has a strong contrast between China and the West. When most of the articles in the book are taught, they will start with some Western knowledge concepts, and then talk about the relevant content of the Chinese countryside. The second point is that other articles may be introduced from thousands of years at the beginning, which creates a strong sense of time, and this book can bring readers closer, and, in terms of space, it is explained separately from the domestic and foreign backgrounds. Have a very broad vision. The third point is that this book gives us a deep understanding of what traditional rural society is like. It shows that rural society is the social foundation of our country, and what we can feel is a sense of stability. Fourth, the teacher hopes that we learn Fei Lao's writing skills, and he also suggests that we carefully consider some of the concepts in the book, so as to learn more deeply from the book.
