1996年毕业于湖南中医学院(现更名湖南中医药大学),获医学学士学位;同年任湖南株洲市中医伤科医院五官科医师;1998年9月赴日本国立广岛大学医学部留学,于2005年3月,获博士(药学)学位;2005年4月至2009年3月任广岛大学药学部助理教授;在日本广岛大学任教期间,主持日本国家自然科学基金项目2项,并与Nippon Chemiphar、大鹏药品工业和协和发酵工业等几家主要药业公司合作开展扎托洛芬、紫杉醇等4项新药的研发工作。2009年4月回国,任中南民族大学教授,兼职中国中医药信息研究会临床研究分会常务理事、湖北省药理学会理事、中国中药实验药理学学会委员、日本药理学会会员等。回国后主持完成包括国家自然科学基金项目在内的各级研究项目17项。多年来主要从事中西医结合科学领域的研究工作,自主开发了生肤油和降糖剂等多个产品,相关成果已获中国发明专利授权,并先后与上海新生源、广州无限极等公司合作开展了“OAGel注射液”及功能性油脂等产品的开发;在Nanomedicine NBM、Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry、InternationalJournal of Nanomedicine、Neuropharmacology、ToxicologyResearch等期刊上发表论文60余篇,申报发明专利11项,其中7项已授权。
