On the afternoon of July 7, the Vice Secretary of SCMZU Party Committee and about 30 Party members from School of Foreign Languages (SFL) visited the Air Veterans Report Group in the Central Theater Command. Party history learning and education activity as well as a signing and opening ceremony of the Party building base was launched on site.

At the beginning of the activity, the Party members went into the honor showroom. Then, led by Secretary of the fifth Party branch of the faculty Shu Jing, all the visitors relived the admission oath in front of the red bright Party flag.

In the conference room, the visitors had an in-depth communication with the Veterans Report Group. On behalf of the Veteran Report Group, the Deputy Head Zhang Youjun extended his warm welcome to the visitors led by Bai Jiangyuan. Then, he introduced the development of the Group to the visitors and expressed his willingness to cooperate with SCMZU. The leader from SFL also made a statement.

Bai Jiangyuan expressed his gratitude for Air Veteran Report Group’s active participation in the ideological and political work of SCMZU. He pointed out that, the Veterans show their nobility of firmly holding their belief and cultivating the integrity and Chinese spirit within people, and they demonstrate their team spirit of “always united together and adhere to the career as there is the belief by “staying true to the original aspiration and always following the Party” and “always be in the front-line as a Party member”. These kinds of spirits and the experiences of the veterans are the fresh materials and spiritual power for SFL Party members faculty and students to learn the Party history and practice under its guidance. Recently, the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council have released a guideline on the centenary of CPC to strengthen and improve its ideological and political work. The document pointed out that cultural facilities and fields of all levels should be fully used and the construction and management of education and training base for Party members and Patriotism Education Base of all levels should be promoted. Party Committee of SFL must honor the terms of the Party Building Base Co-construction Contract signed with the Air Veteran Report Group and strengthen the cooperation between both sides to boast the Party building base as a power station that can promote the ideological and political work of SCMZU as well as the society.

After Bai’ s speech, the signing and opening ceremony of the Party building base was held. Deputy Head Zhang Youjun and Secretary of the Party Committee of SFL Dai Yingfeng signed the Party Building Base Co-construction Contract.

The signing ceremony is followed by the plaque unveiling. A bronze plaque reading “Party Building Base of School of Foreign Languages of South-Central Minzu University” was welcomed by the warm applause of the Party members at presence.

At the end, Zhang Youjun conducted a Party history learning and education activities in the honor showroom by telling the stories of the veterans vividly in details for the Party members.

The Co-construction of Party Building Base with the Air Veterans Report Group in Central Theater Command is a significant step for the Party Committee of SFL to further promote the ideological and political education work by bringing in the Party history education and combining volunteering for the society and carrying out Party education in school. The purpose of the step is to solve the problem of the single form of Party building activities and the lack of Party education for the junior students and to continuously enhance the quality of the Party history learning and education activities as well as the Party building work of SFL.
