South Lake Environmental Forum--Professor Zhou Minghua of Nankai University was invited to our school to give an academic lecture

On the morning of October 20, 2021, Professor Minghua Zhou of Nankai University was invited to give an academic report titled "New Electrode of Advanced Electrochemical Oxidation Technology for Water Treatment and Its Performance" for teachers and students. The report was hosted by Professor Sun Jie, teachers and students from our college participated.

Professor Zhou Minghua introduced the anodic oxidation technology and electro-Fenton technology related devices, their advantages and disadvantages, and factors restricting their development in advanced electrochemical oxidation. The report mainly discussed three new types of electrode materials, namely the application of carbon nanotube confined iron-modified electrodes in heterogeneous electric Fenton, metal-free advanced oxidation of nitrogen-doped graphene to efficiently generate H2O2, and TiO2 nano-based anodic oxidation of organic pollutants. After the report, Professor Zhou had a friendly exchange with teachers and students.

Zhou Minghua is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Nankai University. He has won 4 provincial and ministerial scientific research awards. Mainly engaged in environmental chemistry, water pollution control technology research, published more than 200 SCI papers in journals such as NatCommun, which have been cited more than 11,000 times, and authorized 25 Chinese invention patents. Being the editor-in-chief, he published the world's first E-Fenton English monograph, and participated in the editing of 8 monograph chapters and 3 textbooks.
