Institute of Neuropharmacology for Ethnodrug
Institute of neuropharmacology for ethnodrugwas originally founded in 2003, and was one of affiliated research institutes of Ethnodrug Research and Development Center, South-Central University for Nationalities.Research is engaged in known ethnodrug which has been applied to treat neuropsychiatric disorders for a long time in history and proved to be very safe and effective, including pharmacodynamics, safety, pharmacokineticsandmaterial basis for efficacy. Its main function is to observe the effects of the ethnodrug on some special ion channels in neurons, analysis the interaction between the ion channel and the ethnodrug, clarify the pharmacological mechanism and the corresponding material basis of the ethnodrug and provide pharmacological references forthe research and development of safe, high effective and non-addictive medicine.Over the past ten years, we have accomplished systemic research on Dragon’s Blood and Stauntoniachinensis DC and quite a number ofpapers have been published in domestic and overseas important journals.

The lab was founded in 2001, with research staff of 10 people, more than 20 graduate students. Laboratory has three main research directions: stereoscopic vision, brain - computer interface, visual cognitive computing model and its application.
Recently, the lab in the "simulated natural reading" Brain - machine interface research has made new progress. The communication speed of brain - computer interface was improved. They realized using brain - computer interface for text entry in English (Chinese), online chat, browsing the web, gaming and other applications, this provides new options for paraplegic patient to communicate with the outside world. Various types of EEG(Electroencephalograph) analysis and identification methods were proposed, and developed system make use of EEG for person's mental state analysis and evaluation.
The structure of the visual information processing mechanism is proposed to simulate the movement patterns of the primary visual cortex model, and realized the action recognition. An application system was set up to simulate the operation of primary visual cortex identification.
