Bachelor Degree Program of Financial Management of South-central university for nationalities was founded in 2004, and it recruited postgraduates in 2005 and more than 600 students have obtained the degree by now. It started the Master's Degree education in 2000 and has trained more than 40 graduate students. The department owns a qualified faculty of 7 members, of whom 1 is professor, 6 associate professors, 3 supervisor of master and half of them hold a doctor's degree，two of them have aboard exchange. In the recent 5 years, it has yielded substantial results in the aspect of scientific research. Owing to the close integration of enterprises, universities and research. In the recent 5 years , the faculty of the department has obtained 1 National Social Science Fund , has obtained 8 research projects at national, provincial respectively, published 4 academic books and many academic papers in good journals such as China Population Resources and Environment, Statistics and Decision and so on. Among the published papers more than 10 academic papers were embodied in CSSCI, EI, ISTP and reprint by RDFY.

　　Some members in Financial Management department are also the members of the provincial key institute: Risk Early Warning and Prevention Research Center of Colleges, and our universities' academic team:  Enterprise Development and Capital Market Research in Ethnic Minority Areas. Based on capital markets and financial management theory and practice research, this department highlights the characteristics of service for economic and social development in minority regions. The employment rate of graduate student is up to 100% and the rate of undergraduate students is about 90%. A great many students go abroad for further study, in addition, lots of teachers take part in various international conference to extensive academic exchanges and cooperation and have a certain influence at home and abroad.

　　The "Financial management" course was granted our university's excellent courses in 2009, and the " Interesting investing and financing " was approved university's quality video public courses in 2014. Financial Management department not only has specialized laboratories and related software and facilities to meet the teaching and researching needs, but also has signed practice agreement with nearly 10 famous manufacturing enterprises or Certified Public Accountants Co.Ltd. which supply opportunities of combining theory with practice for students at all levels.
