OnNovember 6-8, the third Wuhan International Symposium on biological signaltransduction was held in the academic exchange center, which was sponsored byHubei Society of Cell Biology, Hubei Institute of Genetics and our SCUN, and co-sponsoredby Collegeof Biological Sciences, College of Biomedical Sciences of SCUN and Hubei Technology MarketAssociation.More than50 experts and scholars from 8 countries and regions, leaders of SCUNUniversity, Bian Jing, Li Jinlin, Du Dongyun, Song Fajun, representatives ofteachers and students of College of Biological Sciences, College of Biomedical Sciences attended the meeting.

Thisconference, with the theme of biological signal transduction,consists of a main venue, a venue for plant development, a venue for animaldevelopment and a forum for young scholars.President Li Jinlin delivered a welcome speech at the openingceremony, introduced the construction and development of our school, and hopedthat experts and scholars attending the meeting would continue to support thedevelopment of SCUN. Professor He Guangcun from Wuhan University elaborated onthe significance of the seminar for promoting the development of ethnicminority areas and called on universities and research institutes to pay moreattention to the protection and utilization of resources in ethnic minorityareas.

Theseminar invited many famous experts and scholars from the United States,Belgium, Austria and other countries, such as Professor Jose A. Feijo of theUniversity of Maryland, Professor Wojtek Pawlowski of Cornell University,Professor Alice Y. Cheung of the University of Massachusetts, Professor DannyGeelen of Ghent University, Professor Wang Yingxiang, young Yangtze Riverscholar of Fudan University, Professor Zhou Yan of Wuhan University, Yangtze River scholarProfessorPeng Liangcai of Central China AgriculturalUniversity ,and Professor Yan Shunping, thousand young scholars,Professor Li Ning of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, researcherHong Lilian of Zhejiang Province hundred talents plan and Zhejiang University,as well as many experts and scholars from the Collegeof Biological Sciences, College of BiomedicalSciences of SCUN, have madesignificant discoveries and contributions in their respective fields.

On the morning of the 7th, ProfessorJose A. Feijo, Professor Alice Y. Cheung, Professor SCUN Dai Jiapei andProfessor Frederic Berger of the Institute of molecular plant biology of GregMendel, Austria, respectively made keynote reports on the topics ofintercellular signal transduction and molecular regulation of biological systemin the main venue. In the afternoon,academic discussions were held in the plant development, animal development andyoung scholars venues around the fields of plants, animals and microorganisms.On the morning of August 8, experts and scholars visited the college of Biological Sciences, discussedfurther cooperation and exchanges, and selected outstanding academic posters ofgraduate students

During the seminar, experts and scholars fullyexchanged and discussed the contents of the report, the academic atmosphere waswarm and the content was rich, which promoted the academic exchange of domesticand foreign experts in the field of biological signal transduction, provided aplatform for domestic and foreign scholars, especially young scholars, to showtheir scientific research strength which promoted exchanges and cooperation andachieved good results.
