On the afternoon of April 8, 2022, our college successfully held the 24th lecture of "pilotage lecture" in classroom 501. Professor Zhang Zhanbin, Dean of the school of Marxism of the Central Party school, was invited to give an academic lecture on the theme of "key analysis of current macroeconomic situation and policies - learning the spirit of the national two sessions in 2022". The lecture was presided over by President Yang Jinzhou. Members of the theoretical learning center group of the college Party committee and some teachers as well as 2020 and 2021 graduate students attended the lecture.
Duan Chao, vice president of South-Central Minzu University, delivered a welcome speech. First of all, on behalf of the University, he welcomed professor Zhang Zhanbin's tutoring report for teachers and students of the school of Marxism. Secondly, he thanked Professor Zhang for his long-term interest in the achievements of the discipline construction of the school of Marxism .
Professor Zhang Zhanbin pointed out that China is now in a critical period of crossing the middle-income trap. Accordingly, he also explained that China is currentlyaffected by the complex internal and external environment,and its developments still facing multiple pressures, and there are still problems such as imbalance and inadequacy. At the same time, Professor Zhang also believes that China's economic development has strong toughness and advantages. As long as we adhere to the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China and the remarkable advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, we can continue to create a new situation of sound and rapid economic development. Secondly, he clearly and comprehensively sorted out the overall changes and highlights of the 2022 government work report, accurately interpreted the three themes of stabilizing the economy, promoting innovation and benefiting people's livelihood, and deeply discussed some highlights in the report. Thirdly, he made a detailed and clear explanation on how to understand the relationship between these issues by sorting out the major theoretical and practical problems facing our country now. He believed that it is necessary to correctly understand and grasp the strategic objectives and practical ways to achieve common prosperity and the characteristics and behavior laws of capital as well. Finally, he held that we should create a strong public opinion atmosphere and a distinct political ecology centered on economic construction. Therefore, he pointed out the necessity, objectivity and regularity of adhering to the development idea of taking economic construction as the center.
In the final exchange and discussion session, Professor Zhang patiently and meticulously answered the questions raised by the students, such as "how to better promote the effective integration of the real economy and the digital economy in the new era" and "whether common prosperity will turn the poor from relative poverty to the so-called relative wealth".
Li Haibo, Vice President of the school of Marxism summarized the lecture. In his opinion, Professor Zhang explained the current macro-economic situation in simple terms, with clear themes and rich connotations.
