The 2021 annual meeting of the academic seminar on Ideological and political education was held in our university.the annual meeting was focus on building a strong sense of the Chinese national community。The opening ceremony was presided over by Wei Dajiang, Secretary of the Party committee of the College of Marxism.Ba Yuxi presided over the keynote report stage of the conference, and 8 experts have made keynote speeches successively.
Professor Yang Jinzhou, the president, first delivered a speech. Yang Jinzhou extended a warm welcome to the leaders, experts, academic colleagues and students attending the meeting, and expressed heartfelt thanks for their concern and support for the development of the College of Marxism and the major of Ideological and political education.Zhao Geng, director of the ideological, political and Social Sciences Department of Hubei Provincial Department of education, affirmed the achievements of the ideological and Political Education Research Center for ethnic minority college students in the past nine years. He hoped that the center would focus on the research direction and form important achievements in Xi Jinping's important discussions on ethnic work and education, and lay stress on the study of characteristics and make new contributions to the implementation of the basic tasks of strengthening morality.
BianJing, Secretary of the Party committee of Central South University for nationalities, said that the convening of the seminar is a concrete embodiment of the important spirit of the Central Nationalities work conference, the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the work conference of colleges and universities directly under the State Nationalities Commission. It is hoped that the center will take the opportunity of carrying out the implementation plan on strengthening the construction of Marxist college in the new era issued by the school Party committee, inherit the fine tradition, make persistent efforts and achieve new and greater achievements.
Professor Luo Yuting, former deputy secretary of the Party committee of Wuhan University, pointed out that we should strengthen the cultural identity of the Chinese national community to forge the awareness of the Chinese national community. Yu Liping, executive vice president of Social Sciences in Hubei Province, said that we should pay attention to the spiritual level, especially the level of cultural identity in the aspect of cultivating the sense of community of the Chinese nation. This is the root and the soul. Researcher Du Haiying of Hubei Provincial Department of Education said that to strengthen ideological and political work, it is necessary to train successors and give full play to talent advantages.
Professor Wan Meimei of Central China Normal University pointed out that strengthening ideological and political education is based on casting the "five identities" in the consciousness of the Chinese national community, and the core is to solve the problem of political identity. Professor Zhu Zhe of Wuhan University of Technology also said that the most fundamental thing to strengthen the consciousness of the Chinese national community is the recognition of culture. We should adhere to the Sinicization of Marxism and foster the soul of the Chinese nation's community consciousness.
Professor Yao Shanghai, President of the Institute of the Chinese national community of our university, introduced the research results on the core concept of the Chinese national community. At the same time, Professor Sun Mingfu introduced the research ideas, logical framework and main contents of the Report on the Development of Ideological and Political Education for Ethnic Minority College Students (2004-2018). Associate Professor Dong Jie, deputy director of the center, reported on the main work, achievements and problems of the center in the past year. He also reported on the future direction of the center.
Professor Xu Bocai, director of the Ideological Education Research Center for ethnic minority college students, made a concluding speech. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the leaders and experts attending the meeting for their long-term support and concern. It is hoped that all the members of the center will strive to strengthen learning and research, focus on new directions and form new characteristics.
