On the afternoon of September 24th, the 17th lecture of the "pilot lecture hall" of the College of Marxism was successfully held on the third floor of the academic exchange center. The academic report was taught by Dong Hui, a professor of the Marxism College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The theme was "National Security and the Centennial Exploit of the Communist Party of China." This lecture was hosted by Wei Dajiang, secretary of the Party Committee. Some teachers and graduate students of the 2020 and 2021 levels participated in this lecture.

Professor Dong Hui mainly started from the "The Nature and Content of National Security" and "The Safety View of the People's Party", and interpreted the four properties of national security, which extends four levels, namely "From safety to National Security View "," The Progress of the Communist Party of China in maintaining National Security "," The Safety View of the New Times ","Significance and Value of the Times".

First of all, Professor Dong Hui conducted a deep interpretation of "From Safety to Overall National Security View" from the perspective of philosophy. She pointed out that the transform described above is a common-state issue from different fields to different levels. Secondly, she made a macro summation for the efforts of the Communist Party of China in safeguarding the national security, which were "new democratic revolution period", "socialist revolution and construction period", "the period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization " and "New era of socialism with Chinese characteristics". She deeply explored food security as well. Then, by sorting the timeline, Professor Dong Hui deeply elaborated on overall national security view from five aspects : the essential characteristics, basic architecture, basic positioning, basic requirements, and basic methods, and made an introduction to network space security.

Finally, Professor Dong Hui pointed out that the overall national security concept is an innovative application of Marxism methodology, which is of great significance to China and the world. She also conducted an in-depth communication with the students on "How to see the Chinese Communist Party of the Communist Party of China" and "How to do academic research in graduate students". Vice President Li Haibo summarized the experience of the lecture. He believed that teacher Dong Hui's lecture was of great benefit to inspire students to analyze problems from a philosophical perspective.
