On June 18, our college hosted the sixth “Ideas Sharing Forum” for young faculty members. Professor Hu Yihua, Dean of the School of Marxism at Hunan Agricultural University, was invited to deliver a lecture titled “What Young Ideological and Political Education Teachers Should Do in ‘Big Ideological and Political Courses’-A Case Study of ‘Xiangchao Ideological and Political Courses’.” Dean Li Haibo and Vice Dean Teng Shuai attended, along with young faculty from both universities. The event was chaired by Vice Dean Teng Shuai.

Professor Hu structured his talk around three dimensions: how to perceive, think, and act. Using the distinctive “Xiangchao” model as a practical example, he illustrated how to create lively ideological-political classrooms by integrating local resources and sports spirit. He emphasized that this field offers new opportunities for teaching innovation and research. In the interactive session, Dr. Dong Meihao discussed challenges and coping strategies with Professor Hu.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Dean Teng noted that the “Xiangchao” model is an innovative blend of local culture and sports. He encouraged young teachers to draw inspiration from such models, to incorporate cases close to students’ daily lives into their teaching, and to bridge theory and practice, making abstract principles truly resonate with students.
