The 6th Hubei Provincial University Teaching Innovation Competition has recently concluded. The course An Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, delivered by the teaching team led by Gong Li from the Department of Sinicization of Marxism at our university, has won the First Prize in the Associate Senior Professional Title Group for Basic Courses.

This course has undergone successive development as a Provincial High-Quality Resource Sharing Course, a First-Class Undergraduate Course, and an Intelligent Teaching Course. It has fostered a distinctive operational model featuring boosting teaching via academic research and advancing instruction through competition participation. Professor Gong and her team have been honored with numerous accolades, including the National Model Teacher title.

During the preparation phase, the college arranged mentoring sessions from distinguished veteran educators and specialized training programs to fully support the competing team. The team stated that they will further deepen teaching innovation practices and facilitate the connotative development of ideological and political theory courses.

Taking this award as a new starting point, the college will refine its competition-driven teaching improvement mechanism, enhance the instructional capabilities of young faculty members, integrate contest practices with daily teaching, and steadily lift the educational effectiveness of ideological and political courses.
