On April 3, our college held the 2026 Young Scholars Forum on Marxist Theory under the theme “Inheritance, Innovation, and Development - How Marxist Theory Leads the AI Era.”

Professor Cai Qiong, member of the University Party Committee Standing Committee and Party Secretary of the School of Marxism, delivered the opening address. She emphasized that young scholars are a vital force in the development of the discipline, and that the forum serves both as a platform for academic exchange and as a window for the School to identify and attract talent.

The academic session was chaired by Dean Li Haibo. Eight young scholars from Peking University, Renmin University of China, Shandong University, Zhejiang University, and Wuhan University presented their research on cutting-edge topics including the “Two Combinations”, labor emancipation in the context of artificial intelligence, the crisis of subjectivity, and the risks and pathways to resolving technological alienation. Their presentations were followed by lively discussions and active engagement with the audience.

In his concluding remarks, Dean Li Haibo noted that the forum provided a high-level platform for mutual learning and intellectual exchange, injecting new vitality into the innovative development of Marxist theory in the AI era. He expressed gratitude to all participating scholars and reaffirmed the School’s commitment to fostering academic growth and talent recruitment through such events.
