To further enhance the teaching competence and educational standards of our faculty, and to ensure an optimal competitive state for participation in the 4th National Teaching Exhibition for Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Higher Education, our college held a pre-competition polishing meeting on September 26th. The meeting invited two experts for guidance, including Professor Li Nan from Wuhan University and Associate Professor Chen Jisheng from Central China Normal University. Dean Li Haibo, Vice Deans Qu Xiaolin and Teng Shuai, ProfessorZhang Ruimin, and Associate Professor Gong Li from our college attended the meeting, which was presided over by Teng Shuai.
During the meeting, Gong Li gave a teaching presentation on the topic of "Deng Xiaoping Theory", showcasing her course content, teaching procedures, and the application of intelligent teaching methods. Chen Jisheng fully affirmed the courseware content and teaching design. He pointed out that the exhibition should closely focus on the course core and emphasize the coherence of content connection; the teaching process should strengthen problem awareness and build a clear question chain; case selection should be close to students' reality and based on their perspectives. Li Nan emphasized that the exhibition should highlight the course attributes and clarify teaching priorities and difficulties. She suggested that teaching content could be condensed by combining data with graphics in teaching methods, and that student situation analysis and comparative analysis should be strengthened to effectively improve teaching effectiveness.

Subsequently, Li Haibo delivered a teaching presentation themed "Contemporary World Economy and Politics", focusing on expounding China's nature, positioning, development trends, and response strategies amid the major changes in the contemporary world. Combining the evaluation criteria with their own experience, the two experts made comments and put forward specifc optimization suggestions regarding the logical structure and subjectivity of teaching design, as well as the selection of teaching materials.

Finally, Teng Shuai delievered concluding remarks.He expressed sincere gratitude to the two experts for their presence and guidance. He stated that the college will continue to provide quality services to assist participating teachers and teams in improving their teaching standards through polishing classes. Such achievements are expected to bring new impetus to the development of the ideological and political courses of our college.
