Recently, the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education issued the “Announcement on the Recognition Results of the Third Batch of National First-Class Undergraduate Courses”. The course “Ideological and Political Theory Practice”, led by Professor Yang Jinzhou from our college, has been recognized as the national first-class undergraduate course in the social practice category. This marks another landmark achievement in the undergraduate course construction of our college, following the recognition of “Situation and Policy”, “Virtual Simulation Experiment Course on the Communist Party of China Leading Ethnic Minorities in the Joint Resistance Against Japanese Aggression”, and “Social Research” as national first-class undergraduate courses. It fully demonstrates remarkable achievements in cultivating high-quality courses and advancing teaching reforms.

In recent years, the college has thoroughly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on education and important instructions on the construction of ideological and political courses. Adhering to integrating ideological and political education into the entire process of education and teaching, our college has taken course construction as a key grasp to improve the quality of education and teaching. Guided by the goal of building first-class majors, developing first-class courses, and cultivating first-class talents, it has continuously increased resource investment, optimized the curriculum system, innovated teaching models, and promoted the high-quality development of course construction towards a more comprehensive type and better structure. A sound pattern of "breakthroughs at multiple points and fruitful results across the board" has been formed in the construction of national and provincial first-class undergraduate courses in our college.

The approval of "Ideological and Political Theory Practice" as a national first-class undergraduate course is not only a high recognition of the teaching innovation and practical exploration of the course team, but also a full manifestation of our college's adherence to the original mission of educating people and continuous dedication to course construction. Taking this opportunity, our college will fully leverage the radiating, driving and exemplary leading role of national first-class undergraduate courses.
