Recently, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the completion results of the annual National Social Science Fund projects in March 2025. The research achievement of the general project "Research on Rural Governance in the New Era" (Project No.: 21BKS135), hosted by Professor Yan Zhanding from our college, was rated "Excellent".

Led by Professor Yan Zhanding, the project focused on the core theme of rural governance in the new era, following the basic logic of "theoretical guidance - policy measures - practical operation". Guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on rural governance, it systematically sorted out the major policies and initiatives for rural governance in the new era, fully presented the overall picture of the healthy operation of rural governance practices in the new era, and proposed practical suggestions to address the challenges in rural governance. The project highlights the theoretical summary and sublimation of practical experience in rural governance in the new era, and it deepens the academic interpretation of Xi Jinping's important expositions on rural governance and rural governance practices, providing strong theoretical support and practical guidance for improving the level of rural governance and promoting the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.

It is reported that in this appraisal organized by the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences, a total of 548 annual project conclusion applications were accepted. After rigorous evaluation by peer experts, 77 projects were graded as "Excellent." Among them, only five scholars from the College of Marxism received the "Excellent" rating for their concluding achievements. Looking ahead, our college will further focus on cultivating research talent, continuously optimizing the research service system and enhancing service efficiency. Efforts will be fully mobilized to prepare for the next round of fund project applications, aiming to achieve dual breakthroughs in both application quality and approval rates. These initiatives are expected to inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of our college’s scientific research work.
