The College of Marxism Successfully Holds the First Teacher Paper Writing Competition

To further enhance the academic atmosphere, stimulate the research and innovation vitality of teachers, and promote the high-quality development of the college's research work, the College of Marxism held the first teacher's paper writing competition from June to July. A total of 16 papers were submitted for the competition. After qualification review, anonymous expert evaluation, and selection by the academic committee, six papers advanced to the final round of evaluation.

On the afternoon of July 8th, our college held the final round of the first teacher's paper writing competition. Shen Hua, the director of Hubei Social Sciences Journal, Wu Lanli, the director and executive deputy editor of the Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Social Sciences Edition), and Wu Hailun, the editor of the Journal of South-Central Minzu University (Social Sciences Edition), were invited to serve as the final round judges. The authors of the papers that advanced to the final round and representatives of the college's teachers attended the final round. The final round was presided over by Vice Dean Qu Xiaolin.

Tang Zhenhua, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, delivered a speech on behalf of the school. He extended a warm welcome and sincere thanks to the experts for their presence and guidance, encouraging participating teachers to cherish the learning opportunity, gain wisdom from ideological exchanges, and improve their abilities through consultation and learning.

During the final round, the authors of the participating papers presented their papers in sequence, explaining the basis for the topic selection, the writing logic, and the main viewpoints. The three experts provided detailed comments on each of the six papers from the perspectives of topic selection, writing logic, writing norms, and research methods, and offered constructive suggestions for revision. They also answered the questions and concerns of the participants regarding daily paper writing and submission.Finally, first, second, and third prizes were awarded based on comprehensive evaluation.

It is reported that holding the competition is a beneficial attempt and innovative measure for our college to implement and refine organized research in detail. The participating teachers expressed that this competition is of great significance in solving the "urgent, difficult, and worrying problems" that teachers encounter in paper writing, and they hope that such activities will be held more frequently. The college will take this opportunity to summarize the experience of the competition in a timely manner, strive to come up with new and practical measures in organized research, and promote the research work of our college to a new level.
