To deeply study Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the important speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools, strengthen the construction of a high-quality and professional team of ideological and political theory course teachers, and continuously deepen the reform and innovation of ideological and political theory courses, from August 11th to 15th, under the leadership of Vice Dean Qu Xiaolin and Teng Shuai, more than 30 teachers from our college visited the Ministry of Education's National Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Courses Social Practice Training Base (Guizhou Normal University) for a period of study and training.

On the first day of practical training, all teachers initially attended the "Colorful Guizhou Speaks of Past and Present" special report. This report provided a profound understanding of Guizhou's rich historical background, diverse cultural makeup, unique geographical position, favorable ecological environment, and the brilliant achievements made in the new era. Subsequently, participants visited Qianling Mountain, the "China Sky Eye," Zhenyuan Ancient Town, and Zhaoxing Dong Village for field visits and conducted on-site teaching at the Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs of the Liberation of Guizhou and the Liping Meeting site, engaging in discussions on further strengthening the construction of ideological and political theory courses in the new era.

At Qianling Mountain, all teachers carefully listened to the on-site explanations, revisiting the history of China's resistance war through revolutionary tradition education. In front of the Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs of the Liberation of Guizhou, the teachers paid their highest respects to the revolutionary history of those who sacrificed bravely for the liberation of Guizhou, receiving a patriotic education. Climbing more than 700 steps from the foot of the mountain in Pingtang County, teachers experienced the immense impact of the "China Sky Eye" at the mountain's peak. At the base, teachers toured the Nan Rendong Memorial Hall and the Astronomy Museum, deeply reflecting on the spirit of Nan Rendong, the "Father of China's Sky Eye," and his unswerving dedication to serving the country through scientific research and exploring the universe. In Zhaoxing Dong Village in Southeast Guizhou, teachers visited China's largest Dong village drum tower complex and investigated the current status of batik, tie-dye, embroidery, and other intangible cultural heritage (ICH) protection, as well as the training of ICH inheritors. In the Liping Zhenyuan Ancient City, surrounded by green mountains, lush trees, and a livable environment where business and tourism thrive, teachers deeply appreciated the scientific, strategic, and visionary nature of the concept that "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets." At the Liping Meeting site, through on-site learning, teachers profoundly understood that "The Liping Meeting was key to a strategic turning point since the Long March," deepening their understanding of the Party's history and further strengthening their confidence and determination to follow the Party.

This practice and study session, conducted with Guizhou Normal University, leveraged Guizhou's distinct red culture, diverse ethnic cultures, and outstanding ecological civilization. The program, with its clear theme, practical relevance, balanced visits, and discussions, seamlessly integrated the classroom with societal experience, broadening the teachers' perspectives, enriching their knowledge, deepening their understanding, and enhancing communication. This benefits teachers in continually improving their ideological and political theory teaching capabilities through theory-practice integration. Participants unanimously agreed that this experience allowed them to traverse Guizhou's diverse landscapes on foot, deeply feel its red culture, observe its unity and beauty, and vividly experience the strong momentum of various ethnic groups in Guizhou working together towards development. Moving forward, they plan to further explore the educational potential of red resources in ideological and political education, fully utilizing new materials gained during this practice to enhance teaching in all aspects of the ideological and political education process. This aims to continually increase the appeal, engagement, relevance, and effectiveness of ideological and political theory courses, ensuring education that not only enlightens minds but also touches hearts. They are committed to making ideological and political theory courses beloved, beneficial, and unforgettable for students and strive to nurture more young people of the new era who are aspiring, responsible, resilient, and determined.
