On June 18, 2022, Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, a professional institution of higher education evaluation, released this year's "Best Chinese Subjects Ranking". The ranking includes 568 undergraduate majors. The list of each major releases the top 50% of all colleges and universities that offer this major, with a total of 30242 majors from 990 colleges and universities on the list. Our undergraduate major of Ideological and political education entered 16% in this year's ranking list, ranking at the B+ level, ranking 49th among the 155 colleges and universities on the list, and ranking 5th among colleges and universities in Hubei Province

As the only national first-class undergraduate major construction point in the Marxism College of the university directly under the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, since the "14th Five-Year Plan", this major has been guided by the Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. This major aims to implement the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people, focus on new tasks and requirements, follow the internal law of the development of Ideological and political education, and formulate a plan to improve the quality of Ideological and political education professionals. "Best Chinese Subjects Ranking" forms a comprehensive evaluation of majors through the evaluation and summary of three levels: school, discipline and major. The ranking index system consists of five index categories: school conditions, discipline support, professional students, professional employment and professional conditions, with a total of 19 measurement indicators, which have been widely recognized by all sectors of society.
