On the evening of March 18, 2022, the fourth knowledge and practice reading club of the school of Marxism of South-Central Minzu University was held in Room 501, building 1. The theme of this issue of the book club focuses on "zero tolerance against corruption" and the participating students held discussions around the book Tightening the Cage of the System. The conference was presided over by Tang Rui, a postgraduate student of 2021. At the conference, Li Yaqi, Zhan Yu, Wei Yi, Li Yuejia and Kang Niya, postgraduates majoring in Party Construction, shared their research gains and experiences on the book Tightening the Cage of the System. A total of 20 graduate students from 2020 and 2021 party construction majors and students from law school, School of culture and communication and School of management attended this reading party. Wei Dajiang, Secretary of the Party committee of the school of Marxism of South-Central Minzu University, and Professor Li Haibo, vice president, were invited as special guests.
Li Yaqi studied the contents of the chapter of the Code of Integrity and Self-discipline of the Communist Party of China in the book, compared and introduced the contents and objectives of the three versions of the Code, and came to the Enlightenment of anti-corruption, that is, to constantly improve the inner-party integrity and self-discipline system. Zhan Yi and Wei Yi studied the contents of inner-party supervision in the seventh chapter of the book. On the basis of the stages of party history, combining with the changes of the terms of the party constitution and the common characteristics between the party constitutions, Zhan introduced the centennial history of the inner-party supervision system in the party constitution which was divided into five development stages. Wei Yi mainly compared the differences and relations between inner-party supervision and non-party supervision. Li Yuejia discussed the experience and the enlightenment of the development of inspection system in combination with her relevant practical experience after describing the definition of inspection and inspection system and the role and the function of inspection system. Kang Niya shared her overall understanding of the book.
After all the speakers finished their speeches, the participants exchanged interdisciplinary knowledge and thinking in the free discussion session. Professor Li Haibo, the vice president, made a concluding speech on the reading club, commented on and praised the wonderful performance of the students, and pointed out that the reading club has three characteristics: first, the combination of theory and practice; second, enrich and expand the theory; third, interdisciplinary communication.
