Vice President Li Haibo firstly summarized the graduate student training and education work experience from 2019 to 2021, and concluded the shortage of postgraduate education and its causes. Then he put forward the countermeasures in the direction of improvement. In his view, our college should increase enrollment publicity, set up a base of high-quality students and hold summer camps. Furthermore, we must further require students to actively participate in the pilot classroom, encourage them to publish high-quality papers, increase the weight of high-quality papers in the award evaluation so as to guide students to actively participate in research and innovation. On the other hand, the responsibility of tutors to guide students to enter higher education and employment should be strengthened. That is to say tutors should strictly control the process of thesis opening, pre-defense and thesis oral defense, encourage students to take the doctoral examination and give corresponding support, so as to Promoting students to apply for doctor and obtain employment. He hoped that the discipline group and mentor could comprehensively analyze the past three years of graduate training, sum up experience, find short boards and propose solutions to those problems.
Zhan Quanyou and Zeng Hongyu, the representatives of tutors deliver a speech. Starting from the transformation of the concept of cultivation, Zhan Quanyou pointed out that the idea of individual growth of teachers and students should be transformed into that of common growth of teachers and students. The mentor should regularly meet students to establish one-to-one relationship with undergraduates and graduates as well. Zeng Hongyu combined with the experience of guiding the graduate students, emphasizing the need to understand the willingness in advance, communicating with students, reminding students to ask teachers for help when meet difficulties during the preparation process.
Each subject group will discuss in groups according to the two files, "Report on the work of Postgraduates of Marxism College(2019-2021)" and "Implementation plan of improving postgraduate training quality of Marxism College". The participating teachers conducted an in-depth exchange and discussion about the draft for comments in combination with the characteristics of their respective disciplines, talent training objectives and the actual work of graduate training and teaching management. They finally proposed targeted suggestions for the revision of the relevant system.
President Yang Jinzhou made a summary speech.
