On May 20th, Mr. Zeng Hongyu invited Yan Changyun, who has won many honorary titles such as "National Civilized Family", "National Outstanding Volunteer" and "Chinese Good Man" from the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, and Mr. Hu An, President of Wuhan Online Volunteer Alliance, to participate in "Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Foundation" Class. They discussed together the topic of "how people should better practice the core values of socialism". Teachers such as Zhang Taohua, Dong Jie, Qin Xiaolin, Xiong Fang, Zhang Chunzhi and some graduate students from the School of Marxism participated in this class.
  Hu An introduced to the students the industry system and organizational form of public welfare organizations with the theme of "how college students do public welfare things". He also shared his study and life in a charity organization. Hu An also encouraged students to actively participate in volunteer activities and join charity organizations and then put forward many suggestions for students to participate in charity services.

Yan Changyun shared his voluntary work experience and his own summary and gains at work to the students. During the fight against the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic last year, his team quickly established the "Jingdian" anti-epidemic service team. He also solved the problem of living supplies for the residents and also provides services for hospitals, sanitation, and public security. What’s more, he raised anti-epidemic materials from the whole society. He interpreted the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress" in public welfare services. The students were deeply moved.

After listening to the sharing of the two volunteers, the teachers and students still interacted actively and put forward a lot of their own ideas. Finally, Zeng Hongyu thanked the two teachers and summarized the lesson. Through the study of this class, students learned about the organization of volunteer work and learned the spirit of dedication. Their moral cultivation has been improved and their sense of social responsibility has been strengthened.
