On the evening of April 12th, our college's ideological and political education major held a theme class meeting in classroom 411 of 1st teaching building. Vice President Yang Shengcai accepted the letter of appointment of the class teacher issued by the college, and exchanged ideas with the students about the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech, study and education of party history and the experience of university life and study. Wei Dajiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy, Jin Yao, a 2020 counselor, and 2020 students participated in this event. The group meeting was hosted by Wei Dajiang.
Yang Shengcai combined his actual work and his own thinking to tell everyone the theme group class of "Inheriting the red gene and striving to be a newcomer of the times". He shared his experience of studying "General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Speech at the Opening Ceremony of the Young and Middle-aged Cadres Training Class of the Central Party School (National School of Administration) in the spring semester of 2021". He pointed out that the general secretary's speech was lofty and rich in content. It not only gave high expectations to young cadres, but also pointed out the direction for the growth and success of contemporary youth. As young people in the new era, we must be determined to be faithful heirs of the party’s glorious tradition and fine work style, strengthen our confidence and courage as the builders and successors of the party and the country, and constantly improve willpower, perseverance and self-control in order to realize our dream and achieve brilliant future in the new journey of building a modern socialist country.
Yang Shengcai introduced the requirements and tasks of the current school party history study and education, and pointed out that in-depth development of party history study and education is a major political task of the school, and the majority of young students should actively participate in it. By studying party history, we will be able to strengthen our convictions, gather strength, forge our character, and strive to be newcomers of the era who are responsible for the great task of national rejuvenation. President Yang also combined with the characteristics of university study and life to encourage everyone to strengthen their inner training, build a sunny mind, face difficulties optimistically, treat family members and themselves kindly, enhance awareness of safety precautions, and make university life more colorful.
During the interactive communication session, Han Yufei, a member of the ideological and political class of 2001, took his psychological stress adjustment during the college entrance examination as an example, and pointed out that we must face difficulties with a positive attitude and be more courageous; It is necessary to learn self-decompression, self-adjustment, and self-empowerment through reasonable means such as exercise and talk. Taking her own experience during the epidemic as an example, Tang Liyuan, the party secretary of the 2002 ideological and political class, pointed out the importance of life and health and called on everyone to communicate with your parents more when during school, develop good living habits, and improve our own physical and mental health.
Wei Dajiang expressed his gratitude to Vice-President Yang Shengcai for taking the initiative to apply to be the head teacher of the 2001 ideological and political education class, close contacting with the students, caring for the students and serving them. He hoped that the students could understand the responsibility and pattern of the youth in the new era from the speech of the General Secretary, clarify the historical mission of the youth and appreciate the historical wisdom of the century-old party history from the learning and education of party history, combine the individual destiny with that of our country, keep in mind the original mission, and forge ahead courageously.
