In order to further deepen and implement the spirit of education evaluation reform in the new era, our college held a theoretical study center group (expanded) study forum in the 1-501 conference room on the morning of March 12, focusing on studying the spirit of " Overall Plan for Deepening Educational Evaluation Reform in the New Era" by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council and the school's “Notice on Further Doing a Good Job in Education Evaluation Reform” and other documents. Party committee members, branch secretaries, directors of the teaching and research section, and subject leaders of our college participated in the intensive study. Wei Dajiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy presided over the meeting.
Wei Dajiang firstly interpreted the core content and basic spirit of the "Overall Plan" and gave a comprehensive explanation on the reform of the party committee, government's education work evaluation, school evaluation, teacher evaluation, student evaluation and employment evaluation, including a total of 22 contents. He emphasized that we must adhere to the fundamental standard of improving the effectiveness of moral education, improve the evaluation mechanism for guiding teachers to concentrate on educating people, highlight the quality orientation, and realize the transformation of education evaluation from focusing on results and focusing on quantity to focusing on process and quality.
Dean Yang Jinzhou explained the educational evaluation reform plan of our school from the aspects of work tasks and negative list according to the [2021] No. 6 and No. 7 documents issued by the National People's Congress, stressing that the rules and regulations should be revised and improved in a targeted manner, and the reform of school education evaluation needs to be further improved.
After in-depth study,Participants actively responded to the requirements of the overall reform plan and expressed that they would actively participate in the large-scale study and discussion of education evaluation reform, change the utilitarian education thought, return to the value concept of education, think more deeply about the detailed measures of education evaluation and transform the idea of cultivating people into an operable evaluation index system, especially in the scientific construction of the evaluation system of ideological and political theory courses, in the improvement of the quality evaluation mechanism for the cultivation of undergraduate and master students, and in the characteristic development and scientific development mechanism.
