She also disinfected the commonly used tableware, door handles and so on daily, and avoided raw and cold for three meals. After the lockdown of Wuhan, Mei Xiping offered to volunteer in the community. Later,she was appointed as the temporary party branch secretary of the building. She stayed up late to arrange material distribution, expressed delivery and other tasks,although she wore masks used by her husband and second-hand work clothes .There were the most confirmed cases and the most complicated situations in the building she was responsible for. The work was difficult,but Mei Xiping and her team overcame them one by one and invented a way to deliver materials avoiding infection.
She did her best to solve all the problems of the owners’ life, such as helping the owner get express delivery, buying medicine, sharing help call and so on. In addition, she has also established a mutual aid group to mainly help elderly people who didn’t use mobile phones and provided them with help as she could.
