(By Han Ziming from School of Economics) In order to meet the demand of new change in financial industry, improve the financial innovation of science and technology application ability for university students, on the afternoon of November 27 in Room 222 Building 16, the School of Economics, the Experiment Teaching and Engineering Training Center, and the Innovative Entrepreneurship School jointly organized a campus qualification trial for the first Hubei "Zhilian Cup" University Student Financial Technology Innovation and Application Competition. Zhou Yang, General Manager of Hubei Zhilian Technology Company, Tian Zhanfei, staff of Hubei Zhilian Technology Company, Xiong Fang, Vice Dean of the School of Economics, Wang Lei, Director of the Economic Management Experimental Teaching Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship School, and Gao Wujin, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of School of Economics were present.

The qualification trial was competed among ten teams, each consisting of four players, which was divided into three parts: basic knowledge of financial technology competition, blockchain financial application practice competition and blockchain technology application competition. During the trial, the participants completed the questions efficiently after careful study and full preparation of the fintech knowledge in the early stage. They cooperated well in the group discussion and had a clear division of labor. They demonstrated excellent blockchain financial business ability, blockchain application ability and blockchain thinking ability. After intensive competition, "Chinese Star" team and "chocolate gold coin" team won the first two places. They would represent our university to participate in the provincial competition.

The successful holding of this competition has effectively improved the financial technology knowledge level and practical ability of our students, and has done a good job in talent selection for our School. Meanwhile, it was also conducive to enhance students' innovative consciousness and innovative thinking, and further promote the experimental teaching and innovative talent training of our School.
