On June 24th, 2024, the National Science and Technology Conference and the 2023 National Science and Technology Awards Conference were held at the Great Hall of the People. President Jinping Xi presented awards to the recipients of the highest national science and technology award and delivered an important speech. Our university participated in and won one second prize of the State Technological Innovation Award, achieving a breakthrough of zero national science and technology award.
The award-winning project is 'Key Technology and Application of Low Calcium Reconstruction Preparation of Ultra stable Materials from Bulk Fine grained Solid Waste', jointly completed by Wuhan University and four other units including our university. Prof. Haobo Hou from the School of Resources and Environmental Sciences at Wuhan University is the first author, and Prof. Dongyun Du from the School of Chemistry and Materials Science at SCMU is the fifth author.
