On the evening of October 10th, Class 2306 majoring in Materials held a mental health themed class meeting, presided over by Ms. Ping Gao, a member of psychological committee, and MS. Jie Chen, a member of the hospital's psychological studio.
Ping Gao and Jie Chen introduced the origin and significance of World Mental Health Day to the class through PowerPoint presentations, video explanations, and case studies. They emphasized the importance of mental health for personal growth and social development, and introduced basic knowledge of mental health, including methods for identifying and preventing common mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety, as well as practical skills on how to face stress correctly and maintain a good mindset.
In addition, the activity also included interactive segments, interspersed with small games such as "Draw and Guess", and invited students to share their thoughts and experiences through discussions on "What kind of person I am". They also discussed ways to maintain a positive and kind attitude when facing difficulties and pressure.
Our School of Chemistry and Materials Science organized a series of activities to focus on mental health and build a beautiful campus, with the participation of all classes in the college. The students who participated in this activity expressed that through this activity, they not only gained a deeper understanding of mental health, but also learned how to care for their own and others' mental health.
