Professor Daohong Zhang and associate professor Yu Jiang of the Hyperbranched Polymer Team have made new research progress in the precise regulation of the microstructure of hyperbranched polymers. The relevant achievements were published in the international famous journal Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. under the title of "One Pot Structure Controlled Synthesis of Hyperbranched Polymers by a "Latent" Inimer Strategy Based on Diels-Alder Chemistry". Neng Yang, a postgraduates and Yu Jiang are the co first authors of the paper, Daohong Zhang and Yu Jiang are the corresponding authors, and our university, SCMZU is the only signatory of the correspondence. The Hyperbranched Polymer team led by Professor Daohong Zhang is an academic team of our university. It has been selected as the Natural Science Innovation Group of Hubei Province, the Innovation Team of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, and the Innovation Strategy Team of Hubei Province. Relying on the School of Chemistry and Materials Science of SCUN, the Key Laboratory of Catalytic Transformation and Energy and Materials Chemistry of the Ministry of Education, and the Hubei Engineering Research Center for Hyperbranched Polymer Synthesis and Application Technology, he has been engaged in the research on the synthesis and application of hyperbranched polymers for over 10 years. The team has presided over more than 10 NSFC projects in the field of "hyperbranched polymers", more than 30 provincial key and enterprise entrusted projects, and has been granted more than 70 international and national invention patents. The team realized the industrialization of hyperbranched polymer series products, built the largest production demonstration line of hyperbranched polymer with an annual output of 1000 tons in China, provided hyperbranched polymer research products for more than 200 domestic universities and research institutes, provided high-performance energy-saving processing aids and key technologies for domestic and foreign engineering plastics processing enterprises, and promoted the healthy development of domestic polymer materials. Some achievements have won two first prizes of Science and Technology Invention Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and one First Prize of Science and Technology Invention Award of Hubei Province. In recent years, the team has been engaged in hyperbranched polymer synthesis and structure regulation (Prog. Mater. Sci. 2022 130100977; Angew. Chem., 2021, 60, 331; Chem. Eng.
