    The School of Public Management of South-Central University for Nationalities was established in 2008.Since then the School of Public Management has insisted on “Scientific Research as base, Practical Education as goal”. Until now, the School of Public Management has developed into relatively complete discipline, besides research and teaching have made great progress. The School of Public Management has an outstanding team of teaching and researching. Most of the teachers in the school are some expert teachers, core teachers and some excellent young teachers. Now we have 50 staff, 80% of the teachers with the doctoral degree, including 12 professors (including 3 PhD advisors) and 14 associate professors.The School of Public Management of South-Central University for Nationalities was established in 2008.Since then the School of Public Management has insisted on “Scientific Research as base, Practical Education as goal”. The School of Public Management has an outstanding team of teaching and researching. Most of the teachers in the school are some expert teachers, core teachers and some excellent young teachers.     The school discipline and profession is integral system. It covers three disciplines of management, . We have five undergraduate programs of public management, public affairs management, labor and social security and Land resource management. We also have the first-level disciplines for master degree site in public management and the secondary discipline master degree site in Management (the characteristic discipline in Hubei province, public management, social security and land resources and management. We now have 200 graduate students and 1300 undergraduates.
    Academic research in our school is fruitful. During these five years, the school of Public Management is granted 12 projects sponsored by National Social Science Foundation, 20 projects funded by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, 40 projects funded by other departments. We get 10 more awards including the State Ethnic Affairs Commission Social Science Achievement Award and so on. Besides, we also have published over 170 articles in academic journals and more than 30 academic achievements.
    The school has a high level of academic platform. Until now we has one National-level Teachers’ Teaching Development Demonstration Center (the Teachers’ Teaching Development Centre of the Central University for Nationalities) and one Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Science Research by State Ethnic Affairs Commission (Research Base for Minority Ethnic Education Development). the Institute of Rural Development in Ethnic Areas, the Research Center for Economic and Social Development at Ethnic Areas in Hubei Province and the Institute of Public Management.
    The school has excellent experiment and practice teaching conditions. We have one provincial practice teaching demonstration center - Economics and Management Laboratory. The School also has one microteaching laboratory and one integrated laboratory. The laboratory has the modern experimental facilities, another two microteaching laboratory are under construction. The School has more than 20 teaching and research practice bases in Wuhan Hubei Province, Xiantao City, Laifeng County, Changyang County and other places. We have established good cooperation relationship with the relevant authorities.
    The mission of the School is to train the future managers in the ethnic areas, for the purpose of govern the people and administer a country, becoming the domestic first-class public management school that actively engages in teaching, research, training, and consulting.
